SchoolsLink – An International Quality English Language Program for Schools

What is the SchoolsLink Program?
The SchoolsLink program is an English Language course specially designed for school students from 6 to 10 years old in accordance with the Cambridge University and Common European Framework.

The program enhances the English learning at the school and is very well integrated into the Ministry Of Education and Training’s regulated program. It is an excellent preparation for students wanting to get the Cambridge ESOL Certificate.

The program is a joint project between Hanoi Department of Education and Training and Language Link Vietnam.

Teaching methodology
*      Modern approach which places students at the centre of all training activities
*      Creating an open learning environment to build up students’ confidence
*      Developing students’ overall communication skills through teamwork, role plays, language games, songs and cultural exchange activities.

The program creates Differences
Lessons are well paced and interesting for students, based on familiar situations they will meet when studying overseas.
Topics covered are relevant to their age and life style, school study programs, sports and hobbies.
The program features high-energy drama role-plays, writing and pair work practicing conversations.
It develops students’ confidence and proactive attitudes to study.

Course Length and Assessment
Students will study from 70 to 210 lessons per school year.
To attend the program students have to sit a placement test and will be grouped by Language Link Vietnam based on placement test results and age group.
During the program students will have two main exams: a mid term and a final exam. The final exam will assess all four skills including: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.
Final assessment will also include students’ homework and assignments with various topics.
Reports and Parent Meetings will follow midyear and final exams.

Teachers
The program is delivered by qualified, experienced and enthusiastic native English speaking teachers who love Vietnamese culture and people.

Course Materials
Specially selected student books, homework books, workbooks and readers which are relevant to students’ age, life style, and0020hobbies.
The course books help students to improve their reading, spelling, listening and pronunciation skills. Graded high-interest novels and readers help improve students’ reading comprehension.
